ANXIETY
What is it
Anxiety is a natural and often adaptive response to stress or perceived threats. It's a feeling of unease, apprehension, or worry about a future event or uncertain outcome. Anxiety can manifest as physical symptoms (such as a racing heart or tense muscles), emotional symptoms (like excessive fear or restlessness), and cognitive symptoms (such as intrusive thoughts or excessive worrying).

While a certain level of anxiety is normal and can even help prepare for challenging situations, excessive or chronic anxiety can be problematic. It can interfere with daily life and impair one's ability to concentrate, make decisions, and engage in activities. When anxiety reaches a point where it becomes overwhelming or debilitating, it may be considered an anxiety disorder, such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, or specific phobias.
